We have been a family run business for over 23 years. Sue started Grovehurst Pet Shop in 2003 after working for two different owners since 1997. 

Sue took the business over and her aim was to bring customers the best quality food, treats, toys and accessories at the best prices. 

We also buy British products where possible and use many British small family run businesses. 

 

The shop was originally in Grovehurst (unsurprising) and the site  had been sold off so the business needed to find a new spot! 

So In 2015 Vicky became Sue’s business partner and we found a new shop in Grovepark, the spot just seemed like it was meant to be, I mean “Grove” it had to be. 

Vicky had been working in the pet industry as a sales representative and seen so many different pet shops around the south east and wanted to take all her ideas and out it in to the new shop. Our pick n mix tables of natural treats is still to this day one of the highlights of our store and you love it :) 

The rest is history, as they say.

 

We had a massive change up when Covid 19 hit the UK and the world. We had to adapt quickly so that we could serve you all you needed for your pets and we had so much support.

 

We even designed our own brand- Poppy’s Pantry- a well balanced, healthy and natural dog food at really affordable prices.

 

Now, we want to expand our online presence and bring our shop to even more of you and your pets. There is going to be more local deliveries by Vicky, national deliveries using couriers plus in the shop- more of all the amazing products you know you will get from us!

 

Simon has been working for the shop for almost 15 years and knows the shop inside out! Simon is your go to for all things needing to be ordered and nutritional advice. 

He is a big fan of a good cup of coffee and Loves trainers, he even has an instagram account sharing his exclusive and fancy trainers.
